Earthquake Relief At Bethel Village
FINAL REPORT ON
BETHEL VILLAGE RELIEF WORK
May
14, 2011
God Saw The Need
The earthquake hit
in Myanmar was on the 24th of March, 2011
and it was almost unnoticed by the world. The episode centre was
Tarley, a small town located in
Shan
State. From Tarley, it
spreads to the surrounding villages which included New Bethel
village where I started the ministry back in November 2002. And
so since I was in Chiangmai when the earthquake took place, I
packed my bag pack and went to New Bethel village on the 25th
of March, the next day after the earthquake took place.

God Provided The Need
On the 25th
of March, I was privileged to leave 500 Baht (Thai currency)
which is about 30 US dollars to each of the 24 families in New
Bethel Village. Having grown loving the LAHU people group in
this area, I shared with friends the damages the earthquake had
done and as a result God has brought ten people together and
made them as one team. So, on the 6th of April, we
arrived here in New
Bethel
Village to do relief work.
But this giving could not have been
started without the helps that came from you. God uses
friendships to release His blessings to meet the needs of these
earthquake’s victims.

Relief Help
Since the 6th of April, we have started our relief
work and spent a total of 38 days serving the victims every
single say from 6:30 am
to 7:00 pm.
It was challenging and risky bringing down houses damaged
by the earthquake. Between the 25th of March and the
8th of April, there were few relief workers donating
a lot of aid such as rice, noodles, water…etc. However, since
the 9th April, there were no more relief workers
coming in and helping the victims. It was saddening for us to
witness that. But praise be to God that we were called, led and
were given the privilege because of your generosity to serve the
victims in the rebuilding of houses damaged by the natural
disaster…earthquake. We rebuilt six
houses including the church building. We also gave funds to five
families for the purchasing of timbers and other needed material
to repair their houses. They are: Aa Shaw’s family, Pae
Hlaw’s family, Amoo’s family, Eye Hla’s family, U Em Ai’s family.

Thank You
It was a joy
for ten people to work together in helping the victims in the
repairing and rebuilding of their houses. Each time we look
back, there are no regrets and we praise the Lord for the joy we
have been rewarded as a result. The relief work we have done has
it’s attachment that the Love and Word of Jesus Christ was
shared…“a complete relief work” as we would call. But none of
this relief works could not have been done through our ministry
without the generosity of friends. Personally, I have been
humbled by and have been amazed as I watched God using the
friendships and relationships to release His blessings to those
in desperate need of help. And I am so thankful to all of you.

He Is Coming Soon!!!
For those of
us who enjoys reading Bible prophecy, it is clear from the
scripture that natural disaster is to be expected at the soon
return of Jesus. Looking at events in the world, the spiritual
condition of many churches, the moral corruption of our
generations, the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus, and the
problems exiting between countries or nations, I believe we are
approaching the return of our Lord Jesus Christ. So, the
question now is “what shall you do”?
or “what would you like to have done in this life before
it is time to meet our Lord Jesus”? Perhaps, you will say with
me, “Now is the time when we should keep going in His works and
passionately keep pursuing the things that will last eternal and
bring glory to His name. May His blessings and anointing be upon
your life, your family and your ministry.
