We visited the famous Inle Lake and also we have two days of serious Bible study and three nights of worship followed by encouragements. We talked about our weaknesses as husband and wife and as father and mother. We talk about how, as husband, we can grow in love for our God and our wives. We also talk about things we, husband and wife, expect from each other. Our wives were sharing ideas on how they can best serve their husband and talked also on the topic of “A Man of Family.”
We were joined by three young men and these young single men took care of our kids during our study. We were so blessed that we decided to have this kind of retreat next year also. God has done many great things. We are not only blessed as husband and wife, but we are also blessed as a team. What we have become within ourselves and to one another give glory to God who unites us all together to accomplish His desire. Our prayer is that this light that we lit, by His grace, will continue to burn and become an example to many other couples and churches and organization.
Sui Van Sum was also ordained into pastoral ministry during the trip. We praise the Lord for a man like Sui who loves the Lord. May the Lord reward him greatly for what he has become to the church of God and may He uses him and his family for the salvation of sinners and the building of His churches.
