Mission Trip To Kaya State (April 2010)
Twelve of my friends and I have returned home from our trip to
Lwei Kaw, the capital town of Kaya State. The trip was a result
of my response to the invitation I received from the leader of
leaders of National Christians Assembly who served as our hosts
throughout the trip. It was a joy to be led by the Lord in
response to the invitation to speak. The purpose of the trip
then was to help teach the people there the word of God. But
when we really got there, it was more than just mere teachings.
It was more of building relationship with the people as we
shared our hardships, needs and joy of being in the ministry.

The Team
The team was made of thirteen peoples. Six of them are my
teaching partners who helped in the teaching. Two of them are my
brother in law and they helped us by teaching gospel music. The
remaining five are our students and they helped in recording and
arranging and other activities. It was such a joy to be able to
work together in His ministry for the joy and growth of His
people and yes for the setting of examples in ministry which
will remain and be followed by the next generations. The
comedies, singings, fellowships in sports and in the Word and
Bible teachings brought by the team to the people was what
touched the heart of the peoples and we are humbled by what we
witnessed during our stay there. Great is our God in His
doings!!!
Reaching Out The Unreached
National Christians Assembly led by Pastor Peter Ngyu is made of
many people groups. It is through his preaching that many
turned to God and NCA is made up of no less than seven different
ethnic people groups covenanted together to take the Gospel of
Jesus to other people groups that still remain untouched and
unreached in their area, Kaya State. It is such a privilege and
joy for me to get a chance to involve in his live and in his
ministry knowing that it takes both his leadership and
partnerships from like‐minded people to accomplish the tasks God
has given him. Through him, we’ve been priviledged to reach many
people groups with the Gospel and we look forward to working
together with him for the salvation of sinners and edification
of the saints for His service and for His glory.

The Teachings
It was a joy to be in this kind of teaching ministry. There were
about 400 peoples representing more than 6 different small
people groups
(Ka Yang, Ka Ngan, Pa Daung, Ke Khoo, Pa Oh, etc..)
and three major nationals
(Karen, Burmese, Ka Ya).
The people were divided into three classes. Personally, I have
never really dreamed of reaching out many ethnic peoples groups
but since the past year, God has been taking me to different
places and to different peoples and I discover now that the
expending of ministry takes place when/if He begins to extend
our heart, love for Him, passion to reach out others and
commitment to His leading.

Future Plan
Pastor Peter has asked that we conduct yet another seminar for
ministers that are under his leadership. He requested that my
friends and I would help him in the equipping of his teaching
partners and we have made a commitment to help him in any way we
can…investing what we are and what we have. We have been humbled
by the simplicity of his life, manner of living and we are also
touched by his passions for and commitment to bring all of his
members, (and other six churches that are established under his
preaching) into maturity and for the equipping of his friends
who help in leadership. So, we will continue to go to his place
as the Lord leads and provides necessary funds so that by being
together we can invest more of our lives in others while it is
called today. We will also try to help him in the starting of
three months training that he’s been led to launch.

Personal Note from Philip
A story is told of a lady who was ready to walk into the
battlefield. She was scared by her brother saying;
“a battlefield is not meant for a lady.”
And the lady said,
“I fear neither death nor pain but a cage…to stay behind bars
until use and old age accept them. And all chance of valor has
gone beyond recall or desire.”
After she said this to his brother she walked into a battlefield
with other brave soldiers. Oh…I wish that we all would soon
realize that it takes only few people who are committed, brave,
and risky to do the extraordinary works performed by the power
of God.
In Esther 4:14, Mordecai said these words to Esther. It reads:
“For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and
deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you
and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you
have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther replies this in verse 15,
“…And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if
I perish, I perish.”
We know how the story ended. God delivered the Jews through
Esther. May we now think of something that we have in ourselves
and let us invest them while we have strength and desire so that
we may have joy to share with when our Lord, the King of kings,
return. May the Lord bless you richly and thank you for taking
your times to read this ministry reports. God bless!!!
