Mission Trip To
Paletwa Area, Southern Chin State - Part 2 (12th-19th December 2010)

December 12, 2010: At night, we listened to their testimonies and led
the people with comedy performed by the team. Among many others,
the pastor’s older brother’s testimony was most touching than
others. With tear in his eyes, he said,
“I have lived on this
earth for more than 60 now and this is the first time I received
a gift (more than 60 clothes was distributed to man and women.
Clothes and slippers or shoes were also distributed to children
) from other fellow. We the villagers never think of buying
slippers or shoes for our children but they all got shoes as
well. I know that this has been done so simply because this
people, aiming and looking at us, love the Lord and they love
the people. Blessed be the name of the Lord Jesus.” After he
said this, he walked out with tears in his eyes.

December 13, 2010: We bid our farwell to the villagers. It was really
hard and very hard to say good bye as we looked at their eyes.
We only knew that God has touched their lives and that this
mission trips had been a blessing to those of us who went and
those of the people that received the service. But the journey
does not end here.
December 14,2010: We left at 8:00 am and we crawled and walked all
day long to arrive Sa Mi only at 5:00 pm in the evening. Elisha,
my good friend and one of the team members, was having a real
hard time walking. We rest well the night and Elisha was OK the
next day.
December 15,2010: We got
up early in the morning and had breakfast and start preparing
tent for the gathering place since a memorial sevice was to be
held for Pastor Mang Lian who passed away in September,2010.
After we’re done with the preparation, we had our first night
meeting and there were about 300 peoples. The next day we had a
memorial service and there were about 300 peoples again
attending. It was to me a joy to share God’s teaching on the
vitality of friendship and relationship and being grateful to
Him for every friends. It was such a blessing to see God’s power
operating in the hearts of those who listened.
Elisha preached on the last night of gathering in that
village. It was such a wonderful thing to witness God blessing
His words.

December 16-17,2010: We left this place again at 8:00 am and took boat
for one day to get to Kyuat Taw only at 5:00 pm. We ministered
the night to children at Bryce Lodge Five sponsored by
Understand The Times. The next day, the team visited the monkey
mountain where we enjoyed feeding monkey and sharing what God
was doing during the trip. It was like a rest day and it was
great. We telephoned our family back home in Yangon and it was a
joy as well.

December 18-19,2010: We left Kyaut Taw at 9:00 am and took Bus. We
arrived home at 5:00 pm on the 19th of December,
2010. What a joy it was to be reached by wives, children, and
friends at home. What a joy it is to know the fact that we have
obeyed our Lord’s command to go, and have joined Him in His
works. We concluded our mission trip’s diary by quoting Psalm:
“Praise the LORD! I will
praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the
upright and in the congregation. The works of the LORD are
great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. His work is
honorable and glorious and His righteousness endure forever. He
has made His wonderful works to be remembered;the LORD is
gracious and full of compassion” (Psalm 111:1-4).
