Trip To Shan State 2010

On the 24th of April, 2010 we made another outreach trip. This time, we went to Shan State. The purpose was to find ways by which we can help Timothy and Phoebe become independent in their works and in their support. And God has provided needs. Timothy and Phoebe pastor the church God established in 2003 which was to me a confirmation of His call in my life. It was a joy to see the progress in their walk with Him and in their pastoral ministry.

The Team

I was followed by my wife, two of my biological children, and three other friends. We sat inside the Van that we hired for three days in order to get to our destination. We were so exhausted when we arrived. And yet as soon as we got there we hurried ourselves and got on to the work of repairing the church building that was constructed between 2004‐2006. We visited three villages and in each of the village, we shared the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

During this trip, I was privileged to unite Solomon and Elizabeth as husband and wife. Also, with help from us, the church at New Bethel village sends this newly wedded couple as missionaries to work among the animist in Lahu village. This couple were saved when I was with them in 2005 and have been trained at our Bible school for two years. It truly is a joy to see our students literally serving the Lord in their respective field. My prayer is that God will continue to bless the teaching ministry of our Bible School and that many of His faithful people will find the importance of equipping others both by teaching and by practically placing them into the ministry.

It is through working with nationals that we are reaching the unreached nationals in Myanmar and it brings to us so great a JOY because that’s how God wants us to make an eternal investment for His glory and for the setting of examples to our generation and next generations.
